To ensure that the sleeper is kept at their perfect, personal sleeping temperature, craftsmen have added a layer of breathable cotton, which is well known for its thermal regulation and moisture-wicking qualities. In addition, the three rows of stitching on the sides of the mattress have been completed by hand, helping to reinforce the mattress and ensure it retains its shape and firmness. This is further enhanced by hand-tufted wool tufting, designed to keep the fillings secure and evenly distributed.

Layers of hair, cotton and wool
While many mattresses use a blend of cotton and wool as the layer between the springs and the upholstery, the fibres can drop between the springs and, over time, the mattress can lose its resilience and consistency. The Lisieux solves this problem by adding hair fibres into the mix. These create a natural matrix that keeps the other materials in place, prolonging the shape, firmness and luxurious quality of this outstanding mattress. In addition, this layer provides an excellent layer of breathable insulation.
Hypoallergenic layer
For those with sensitivities to environmental allergens and dust mites, a layer of hypoallergenic fibres provides a welcome and protective barrier. Before being fitted, the layer is completely sterilised and ensured to be free of dust. In addition to their hypoallergenic properties, the fibres are super soft, providing an additional layer of comfort to an already sumptuous mattress.
