Natural Fillings
The Emperor Medium is filled with luxurious materials such as lambswool, cotton, hand teased merino wool, cashmere, mohair and horse hair layers. This combination of six natural fillings work together to provide a durable but comfortable mattress with qualities such as absorbance and temperature regulation.
Pocket Springs
Pocket springs are individually nesting in separate fabric pouches to promote free movement, creating a platform that will shape to the contours of your body all night long. Hand tied with linen cord, each of the 3400 springs is firmly held in a honeycomb pattern throughout the mattress for optimum support. Two layers of springs provide a supportive base that distributes your weight evenly, whilst the top layer of springs is more focused on adding comfort.
Other Fantastic Features
The mattress is also hand tufted with wool. Five rows of hand side stitching help to extend the sleeping area right up to the edges by supporting the mattress walls. Silver+ Protection is a coating based on the microparticles of silver ions, designed to dramatically reduce microbial growth for a fresh and hygenic fabric.
Is a medium mattress right for me?
A medium mattress would be better suited for a side sleeper. The less rigid springs would provide you with the extra cushioning your shoulders and hips need to avoid aches and pains whilst simultaneously supporting your back to help achieve a natural shape of the spine. For those who prefer sleeping on their back, a firmer mattress would be a better match since the springs would be more rigid and keep their shape in order to support your weight and avoid your back sinking into the mattress and into an unnatural position.
