Measuring 28cm in depth, the Millbrook Noble Superior is one of Millbrook’s deeper mattresses. With the core holding up to 4,000 pocket springs, it offers outstanding support, designed to respond to the weight and position of each sleeper. Each pocket spring is sewn into its own fabric pocket, allowing for individual movement and tailored response. For those who favour sleeping on their sides, these also help to take the weight from pressure points, such as the ankles, knees, and elbows. The springs are further supported by two rows of firmer springs along the edges. A system unique to Millbrook, it helps to maximise the sleeping surface in use and ensures the mattress retains its shape and firmness.
Local-sourced, natural fillers
Fillers are a crucial element in mattress construction. To help create a luxurious sleeping environment, the Millbrook Noble Superior uses layers of natural Fine English Cotton along with Hampshire Wool. Soft yet strong, cotton fibres are effortlessly breathable and boast superb moisture-wicking properties. Combined with the integrated air vents, these fibres ensure that moisture is moved away from the sleeper and dissipated into the air. Wool provides incomparable cushioning, and during the colder months, the fibres’ structure helps trap layers of air in the mattress, ensuring the sleeper is kept warm. Combining these two materials results in a bed that has its own climate control system, keeping the sleeper at the ideal temperature all year round.
No detail overlooked
While innovation is an integral part of any Millbrook mattress, some tried and traditional techniques just can’t be beaten. The two rows of side-stitching in the Millbrook Noble Superior are sewn in by hand, using the best twine and specialist sewing needles. This process results in the mattress enjoying a longer-than-average lifespan and maintaining its firmness and shape. Similar techniques are used to attach the turning handles. The Millbrook Noble Superior is double-sided and can be flipped seasonally. To add to its exceptional comfort levels, the whole mattress is wrapped in a layer of super-soft viscose cotton, which is then fixed into place with wool tufts.
