I`ve always had the Grand Duke mattress, this one replaced an 10 year old, to be fair the old mattress was still in great condition and probably had a few more years left. Got this a few weeks and my mum was so impressed by the quality and comfort that she asked me to order her one. It`s firm but not rock-hard, if you want a softer mattress this isn`t for you. Also be prepared to buy new deeper sheets as depth is 35cm. All in all its a comfortable, very well made mattress you won`t be disappoin

A good night`s sleep has returned! Our last mattress was a Hypnos. This was of equal quality but heavier. The Grand Duke is comparable but less weight and price!

Nice and firm good nights sleep

The mattress is pretty firm yet comfy which we like. It seems to be good quality, we do not seem to experience roll-together which was important to us. The only thing is the “Bulldog” border, looks a bit odd as on the bed it looks like it is sagging in from the sides. To lie on though it is good and it does not let you tip off the side.

Not too impressed with the mattress. Bit soft and feeble.I`m not a big bloke and my wife isn`t either but we both feel that the mattress doesn`t offer good support when sleeping. I wouldn`t buy this mattress again. Doesn`t offer good value in my opinion for the money. Already looking to buy a better mattress and use this one in the spare room.Mattressman were very good with the delivery though.

Excellent mattress. Was a bit concerned it might be too deep and sit too high on my new bed frame, but it doesn`t at all – it looks perfect. And it`s firm but extremely comfortable, and well-made. Very happy with it.

Excellent Mattress, comes exactly as described. I expected 1 or 2 nights of discomfort as its a firm mattress but slept brilliantly from the first night. I want to add that both my husband and I are both quite heavy and so we wanted something that would support us both, this mattress has done so. The Grand Duke 2020 is fantastic! Have to be careful in getting out of bed as this mattress is as deep as the base – but getting used to it! Having wonderful night`s sleep though.

Absolutely love this mattress. Have spent hundreds on famous brands but now have two of these mattresses in the house. (main and spare room) They should last about 8 years as the first one (I bought about 3 years ago) is still very comfy today. We are slightly bigger than average (size 18 ladies) and the mattress hold us well and no roll together etc. We tried all the fancy tempur otty etc and just prefer this for all round comfort.

Great mattress, absolutely love it. It is very high though so would be ideal for a low bed frame.

Ordered this mattress online after visiting one of the stores to try it out. Ordered on the Sunday night and had it delivered on the Friday. Paid an extra £30 to have it taken up to the bedroom and our old mattress taken away, which was well worth it for us.

Have just replaced a memory foam mattress with this one. Only had it for four months, no support very hot and found we slid down the bed, this one is Sooo good, nice support, best sleep we have had for a long long time. Only wish I had seen it earlier. Only fault was one man delivery to door, was beyond a joke, it was so heavy, no way he could move it on his own, we struggled. Would suggest paying extra to have it put in bedroom. It does however need turning which is a job in itself, our weekl

Bought this mattress for our guest room so hasn`t been slept on yet. However, first impressions are of a very good quality, firm product delivered promptly. It`s a firm mattress I bought. At the start it`s uncomfortable, but gradually it softens up.
I am a heavy guy (Husky size) and this mattress has made my sleep easy.

This mattress is all that a mattress should be. Bought for my 98 year old mother she finds it very supportive and comfortable. We bought this mattress because my daughter had purchased a mattress for her and one for her daughter a short while ago and they have been very pleased with the British bed mattresses they had. Would recommend.

I have been through a number of mattresses, standard springs, coil springs, memory foam etc. I have struggled with heat in bed so I went looking for a natural fibre mattress and I am plenty happy with this one. Switched my duvet from goose down to mulberry silk too, combined with The Grand Duke I can sleep a lot cooler. 🙂 I would also add that as a medium I find it very firm, but not uncomfortably so.

Great firm but not hard mattress. Best features are the wire round the end to keep its support close to the edge and that moving whilst asleep doesn`t disturb others. Highly recommended and good value for money. Time slot was given day before and phone call on the day of delivery to advise they were 30 mins away so you could make sure you were ready. Delivery guys very professional and efficient..would definitely use them again.

This is the second mattress that we have purchased from Mattressman, and again we are not disappointed.
The Grand Duke mattress is very well made, a good firm support, and I haven`t had such a good night`s sleep in a long time, and the fact that when my other half turns over in bed I can`t even feel it is wonderful!

was really surprised at the `depth` of the mattress even knowing the measurements beforehand, but I see that much more beneficial in the long run – so far it has been really comfortable and the firmness was what I was needing for my bad back

Really pleased with my purchase; the mattress was comfortable from day one and is really warm. I was impressed by the way it was packed in a double wrapping of thick clear plastic with extra protection at each corner. Although it is a “Firm” it is not rock solid, you still sink into it, which is considerably more comfortable than I had anticipated.

Oh my what a mattress! I`ve tried many over the years (some more expensive with big promises attached) but none have been as comfortable as this. Within days my neck had stopped aching and my back has been relaxing in fabulous support.
