The Millbrook Elegance Superior delivers on all fronts when it comes to luxury. In addition to layers of the finest natural cotton, the mattress also sports layers of performance cotton. Natural cotton is well-known for its breathability and moisture-wicking qualities, which help to regulate the sleeper’s temperature. Performance cotton is treated to enhance its water-repellent properties, creating layers of fillings that dry up to twice as fast as untreated fibres. Coupled with air vents on the side of the mattress, these in ensure that it is inhospitable to allergens such as dust mites and fungal spores.

The medium-firm level of support is provided by up to 1,500 pocket springs. Unlike open-coil springs, which move as a unit, pocket springs are sewn with individual fabric housings, allowing them to move independently of one another. This makes for a more tailored, sensitive, and responsive support system and is ideal for those who tend to change their sleeping positions at night. For those who like to sleep on their sides, the pocket springs help take the pressure from more angular parts of the body, such as the elbows, knees, and ankles. They are further supported by the unique Millbrook zonal edge system. This comprises two rows of firmer pocket springs lining the sides of the bed. With this additional reinforcement, the mattress lasts longer, and there is significantly less chance of ‘roll off.’
